Union Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurates 38 national highway projects boosting Uttarakhand’s economy.
The central government is going to fund road development in Uttarakhand totaling around 6,900 million rupees.At Tanakpur, Shri Gadkari laid the cornerstone for eight National Highway road projects totaling more than Rs 2,200 crore.This time, the Union Minister of Roads announced that the Central Government has sanctioned a sum of Rs. 1 lakh 40 thousand crore to be used in Uttarakhand for the construction of improved roads, and that by the end of this year, the amount will be increased to Rs. 2 lakh crore.He made it clear that Uttarakhand will build all of its national highways in accordance with international standards. The Union Minister emphasized that the state’s national highway system now spans 3,608 kilometers, up from 2,517 kilometers in 2014.
