Minister MB Patil has sanctioned Rs 93.32 crore for different railway projects in Karnataka.
The Tumkuru-Davangere and Gadaga-Wadi Railway projects, which are nearing the end of the land acquisition process, have received a total of Rs 93.32 crore in sanction, according to a statement made by Karnataka Infrastructure Development Minister M B Patil on Monday.
According to him, of the entire funding, Rs 50 crore will go toward the Tumkuru-Davangere project and Rs 43.32 crore for the Gadaga-Wadi line.
According to a statement from the minister’s office, “Rs 57.63 crore has been released for the airport construction projects in Mysuru and Raichuru.” Of this, Rs 14.62 crore would be set aside for the Raichuru Airport project. The Mysuru airport will be upgraded and its runway extended using the about Rs 43 crore that is left over.” According to Patil, the Tumkuru-Davangere Railway project, which would link Tumkuru with central Karnataka, is significant for the state’s growth because it will enable a quicker travel to several areas of North Karnataka.
Even though the Union government oversees railway construction, in certain cases the state government pays 50% of the project’s total cost. According to the Minister, both of the aforementioned railway projects would proceed quickly once the land acquisition process—which is presently nearing its conclusion—is finished.
“Agro-based industries are growing, and industries are spreading throughout the entire state. Airports are being expanded with market expansion, convenient transit, and quick and easy travel in mind. In light of this, grants have been issued for the projects of the airports in Mysuru and Raichuru. Every district will get a modern airport, according to government plans,” he said
