Telangana’s Chief Minister layed the foundation stone of 5.5 km old city metro rail project,which will have four elevated stations between M.G. Bus Station (MGBS) and Falaknuma.Originally intended to be a 15 km stretch of the Green Line (JBS – MGBS – Falaknuma) of the 72 km Hyderabad Metro Phase 1 project, this elevated metro line was never built.The line is now scheduled to be constructed as part of the 70 kilometre Hyderabad Metro Phase 2 project, with plans to eventually extend it to Chandrayangutta X Road.
